Terms of Service

These terms govern the use of kubebolt.io (the “Site”) and of KubeBolt Cloud (the “Service”), both operated by CLM Cloud Solutions S.L. (“we”, “us”). By accessing the Site or subscribing to the Service you accept these terms. If you disagree, do not use them.

1. Description of the service

The Site is a marketing website that describes the KubeBolt product, publishes its documentation and blog, offers a feedback channel and a conversational assistant, and lets you subscribe to the product release-updates list.

The Service, KubeBolt Cloud, is the managed edition of the product and is purchased at app.kubebolt.io. The Free and Team plans are available today. Business and Enterprise open in stages.

The open source product is independent of both: it lives in its own GitHub repository and its use is governed by its licence, not by these terms.

2. Intellectual property

2.1. The KubeBolt product

The KubeBolt software is distributed under the Apache License 2.0. Rights over the code are governed by that licence, not by these terms.

2.2. The Site

The Site's content (copy, graphics, design, marketing frontend code) is the property of CLM Cloud Solutions S.L. unless stated otherwise. You may quote excerpts with attribution; you may not copy the whole site, its design, or its copy for commercial projects without our permission.

2.3. Your data

The infrastructure data the Service processes remains yours. We acquire no rights over it beyond what is strictly necessary to provide the Service, and we do not use it to train models. The detail is in the Privacy Policy and on the Trust page.

3. Acceptable use

When using the Site or the Service you agree not to:

  • Take actions that compromise the security or availability of the Site or the Service (denial of service, abusive scraping, attempts to exploit vulnerabilities).
  • Impersonate anyone or register email addresses you do not control.
  • Circumvent rate limits or protection measures.
  • Use them for unlawful purposes or in ways that infringe third-party rights.

If you find a security vulnerability, read our security policy before acting.

4. The Site's AI assistant

The Site includes a conversational assistant (“Kobi”) that answers questions about the product. Three things to know before using it:

  • Its answers can be wrong. They are generated by a language model and are not technical, commercial, or legal advice. Where they disagree with the product documentation or these terms, those prevail.
  • Do not type confidential information or other people's personal data. What you send is transmitted to our AI provider to generate the reply, as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • It is subject to usage limits. We may limit, suspend, or withdraw it at any time, and it is not part of any purchased plan.

5. Content you send us

The feedback form lets you send us a message and attach files. By doing so:

  • You confirm you have the right to share that content and that it infringes no third-party rights.
  • You agree not to include credentials, secrets, other people's personal data, or information under a confidentiality obligation. Review logs and manifests before attaching them.
  • You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content to handle your request and improve the product. If you send us a suggestion, we may implement it without compensation and without a confidentiality obligation, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

We may remove any content that breaches the above, and the processing of any personal data it contains is governed by the Privacy Policy.

6. The release-updates list

Subscribing to the release-updates list creates no contractual right. It is a channel for us to tell you about new versions and product changes. You can unsubscribe at any time.

7. Account, plans, and subscription

7.1. Your account

Using the Service requires an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide, for safeguarding your credentials, and for the activity that happens under your organization. Tell us immediately if you detect unauthorized use.

7.2. Plans and pricing

The current plans, their limits, and their prices are those published at kubebolt.io/pricing and inside the Service itself. The Free plan is offered at no cost within the limits stated there. We may revise prices; changes are communicated with reasonable notice and never affect a period already invoiced.

7.3. Billing and renewal

Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe, acting as payment processor, and renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel first. Applicable taxes are calculated and added at the time of charge. If a charge fails, we may suspend access to paid features until it is settled.

7.4. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from the Service. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for: you keep access until that date and no further charge is issued. When it lapses, your organization moves to the Free plan and its limits apply, including the corresponding retention window.

7.5. 30-day satisfaction guarantee

If you subscribe to a paid plan and it is not for you, we refund what you paid. The conditions, so there are no surprises:

  • The window is 30 calendar days from your first payment, not from each renewal.
  • You claim it by writing to hello@kubebolt.io. We process it back to the same payment method; depending on your bank it may take a few business days to appear.
  • It is one use per organization. Once exercised, it is spent.
  • Exercising it cancels the subscription and moves your organization to the Free plan.

This guarantee is in addition to any statutory consumer rights you may have, and does not limit them.

8. Where your data is processed

You should know this before subscribing: the KubeBolt Cloud managed plane is hosted today in a single United States region (Microsoft Azure, East US 2, Virginia), and every organization's data lives there regardless of where the organization is based. We do not offer EU data residency today, nor customer choice of region. International transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or the applicable adequacy frameworks, as detailed in the Privacy Policy.

We plan for the region to follow the customer: a region inside the European Union for European organizations, and the current one for the Americas. A more specific region within the Americas will be an Enterprise-plan capability, on Cloud or self-hosted. That is a plan, not a contractual commitment: do not treat it as part of what you buy today. If your organization needs a particular region in order to sign, write to us before subscribing.

9. No warranties

The Site and the Service are offered “as is”, without express or implied warranties beyond those the law imposes. We do not guarantee continuous availability or freedom from errors, and we do not offer a service level agreement today. Roadmap information (features, plans, dates) reflects our current intentions and can change without notice: anything marked as coming or designed is not a contracted deliverable.

KubeBolt proposes actions against your infrastructure and, when you authorize it, executes them. The final decision and its supervision are yours. Configure permissions, approvals, and autonomy limits according to the risk you accept.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, CLM Cloud Solutions S.L. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the Site or the Service. For paid plans, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to it. This limitation does not affect rights that mandatory consumer or tort law may grant you.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Site or the Service if you breach these terms, if your use compromises security or availability for others, or if the law requires it. Except in urgent cases, we will notify you first and give you a reasonable opportunity to fix it. If we terminate the Service for reasons not attributable to you, we will refund the unused portion of the period.

12. Third-party links

The Site links to third-party sites (GitHub, Anthropic, cloud providers, social networks). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or policies.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. Substantial changes will be announced on the Site and, where they affect an active subscription, by email with reasonable notice. The “last updated” date in the header reflects the version in force.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute that cannot be settled by agreement will be submitted to the courts with jurisdiction over the consumer's domicile or, otherwise, to the courts of Madrid, Spain.
